Baton Rouge & N'Awlins

I took a week off to visit my sister in Baton Rouge and we drove down to New Orleans for a couple of days. This is such a special part of the country. I love it. The people, the architecture, the history. Even the air feels a little different. But most importantly the food. The food is FANTASTIC. It seems like all we did is eat! I didn't shoot as much as I wanted. I never do. But I did use my old canon AE-1. I love old film cameras. Here are a few images.

Tomb of a relative of Marie Laveau. People would make wishes and draw three X's believing that this was the tomb of Marie Laveau.

Marie Laveau's actual tomb

A Six Flags that was abandoned after Katrina.
